As Hardware Design Engineer at NGRAVE, you work at the core of our product offerings. As an ideal candidate, you possess a proven track record of designing, implementing, and deploying hardware solutions that prioritize testability and maintainability.

You work together with software developers to guarantee the secure & robust working of our hardware wallet. You are responsible for managing the implementation of new features according to our ambitious roadmap that is at the forefront of security innovation in the crypto space. You also play a vital role in supporting production by addressing returned products. By being based in Belgium, you are able to readily assist the production site when needed.

Responsibilities

• Designing and developing PCBs and mechanical designs

• Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to conceptualize, implement, and validate new hardware features and functionalities.

• Ensuring the security and integrity of hardware systems through rigorous testing and evaluation.

• Investigating and resolving PCB and mechanical issues through systematic debugging and troubleshooting.

• Creating and maintaining comprehensive documentation for hardware designs and specifications.

• Staying abreast of the latest advancements and trends in hardware development and embedded systems technology.

Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in hardware design engineering.

• Proficiency in schematic capture and PCB layout tools (e.g., Altium, Cadence, OrCAD)

• Familiarity with flashing and debugging a firmware using STM32 program tools

• Strong knowledge of hardware design principles and methodologies

• Familiarity with microcontrollers and microprocessors

• Ability to conduct signal integrity and power integrity analysis

• Experience with security considerations in hardware design.

• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills in hardware-related issues.

• Excellent communication (English) and collaboration abilities, enabling effective teamwork and interaction with cross-functional teams.

• Nice to have:

  • Knowing hardware interfaces like LVDS, and being able to debug them using logic analyzers (with UART, SPI, I2C...)

  • Knowledge about TrustZone
